“I have known and been a patient of Andrew’s for over 5 years now, off-and-on. He treats each injury and patient with care and attention that fits the specific patient’s injury, personality, needs, and the like. Andrew has treated me for years for a series of long term injuries that I developed as a result of my youth-athletic activities and sedentary job. The injuries he has treated me for include foot and ankle issues, neck injuries (bulging disks) and bilateral elbow tendinitis, which I developed as a result of neck conditions.

Andrew takes great pains to ensure that he has appointment slots that fit my needs, spends after-hours time to develop special therapy workouts specifically designed to treat my injuries and meet my lifestyle, and makes himself available to answer questions. He also frequently updates my treatment after attending educational seminars to ensure that my care is up-to-date and effective. Andrew is an exceptional therapist.”

“I started seeing Andrew almost 2 years ago at the recommendation of a friend.  I have degenerative disc disease in my lower back, along with advanced arthritis and scoliosis.  When I would wake up in the morning, it would take over an hour before I could move easily and without pain. At first, I would see Andrew twice a week and Andrew worked on me and gave me exercises to do.  I continue to do 3 exercises every day to keep my back in place. Now I see him for MAT every other week and I am much more flexible and in considerably less pain when I wake up in the morning.

He suggested I join a gym so that I could do exercises to strengthen my back muscles to keep my back in better shape.  Since Andrew is also a personal trainer, I decided I would work with him.  I see Andrew on a weekly basis for personal training and do a home routine from him once or twice a week. I have lost a couple of pounds but my body shape has changed and my stamina has improved.  I love to play golf and I can now hit  my clubs 10-15 yards farther than before I started working with Andrew.”

Eric, Age 44, Chicago https://ensohealthandfitness.com/eric-age-44-chicago/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=eric-age-44-chicago Tue, 05 Nov 2019 16:32:42 +0000 https://ensohealthandfitness.com/?p=1045

“I have suffered from chronic low back pain for years.  Every six months or so I would aggravate my back and struggle to get around for a while.  As the years went on, the frequency of aggravation increased and the length of recovery extended.  My first few attempts at treatment included either chiropractic care or traditional physical therapy.  Neither solved my problems….at all. Finally, one morning after having aggravated my back the day before, I woke up with severe sciatica and wound up in the ER.

In addition to getting a series of epidural injections to help with the pain, I reached out to Andrew as a last-ditch effort to correct my problem and avoid a surgery that my doctor was recommending.  After my first visit with Andrew, I finally felt that someone was analyzing my problem thoughtfully and with the knowledge and experience that my problem required.  Previous therapists appeared to just follow a script of therapies that their books prescribed.   Andrew took the time to really understand my problem, putting me through a battery of physical tests to diagnose specific patterns of movement that landed me in my current state.   We talked about my ACL tear in my left knee 7 years earlier and how that has impacted my movement patterns and muscular imbalance.  After having a really good understanding of my history, Andrew started me down a path of manual therapy and a regimen of at-home exercises.

It didn’t happen overnight, but as the weeks progressed, I started to feel much better.  It wasn’t long before I was back to 100% and I have not had a relapse in the 4 years since.  I went from not being able to walk without severe pain and on the brink of surgery to back to running 13 mile obstacle races.  I am extremely active and can’t imagine a life where I am not able to do the things I love.   Andrew gave that back to me.

Andrew is the most experienced and knowledgeable practitioner that I have ever met.  He took a holistic approach to my therapy and solved a problem for which countless others failed.  Everyone I talk to nowadays that has therapy needs gets an instant earful from me on why they need to go see Andrew.”
